Main green rubber producing area
Rubber is produced in Indonesia, Malaysia, China, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and other places. China's rubber is mainly distributed in Yunnan, Guangdong, Hainan and other places. Rubber can be divided into raw rubber, latex, liquid rubber and powder rubber according to its form. Rubber is mainly from the three-leaf rubber tree, when the epidermis of this tree is cut, it will flow out of milky juice, this juice is called latex, the latex after washing, molding, drying into rubber.
Rubber refers to a highly elastic polymer material with reversible deformation, elastic at room temperature, can produce large deformation under the action of a small external force, and can be restored to the original state after removing external force, which is a completely amorphous polymer.
Rubber is divided into natural rubber and synthetic rubber two kinds, natural rubber is extracted from rubber trees, rubber grass and other plants after processing; Synthetic rubber is obtained by polymerization of various monomers, and rubber products are widely used in all aspects of industry or life.
Main rubber producing area (World's top ten rubber producing countries)
1. Thailand
Thailand is considered to be the world's largest producer of natural rubber, accounting for about one-third of global production. More than 90% of rubber is exported, and statistics show that rubber brings more GDP income than its famous rice. Most rubber plantations are located in northern Thailand, while some plantations are located in the east. It is estimated that Thailand's annual rubber production is 4,305,069 metric tons, accounting for about 35.6% of global production.
2. Indonesia
Indonesia (Indonesia) is one of the world's highest rated rubber producers, rubber plantation area of about 3.5 million hectares, small-scale farmers rubber cultivation is its main cultivation mode. The main cultivation sites are in Riau, Java, Lampen, and South Sumatra and South Sumatra. About 90% of rubber is exported, with the remainder used in domestic manufacturing and the automotive industry. Indonesia mainly exports rubber to countries such as the United States, Singapore, China, Brazil and Japan. Indonesia's annual rubber production is estimated at 3,088,400 metric tons, accounting for 27.3% of global production.
3. Malaysia
Malaysia is the largest exporter of latex and rubber is mainly exported to more than 190 countries worldwide. The top importers of Malaysian rubber are Germany, Japan and the United States. In addition, Malaysia is a major exporter of medical gloves and a major supplier of Foley catheters. Most rubber plantations are located in the western plains of Malaysia's coastal areas. Jahore State is the largest producer and is located in southern Malaysia. Malaysia's annual rubber production is estimated at 996,673 metric tons, accounting for 8.8% of global production.
4. India
India (India) is a major producer of rubber, Kerala rubber production accounts for about 78% of the national production. Indian rubber plantations are mainly located in the northeastern states and Tamil Nadu. In addition, the major exporters of Indian rubber are Sri Lanka, China, Turkey, Malaysia, Spain, Nepal and Indonesia. Some of the rubber products exported are rubber shoes, tires and tubes, pharmaceuticals, belts and hose beds. The annual production of rubber in India is about 891,344 mt, accounting for 7.9% of global production.
5. China
China is one of the main producers of rubber in the world, and its output is increasing every year. Statistics show that China is the largest consumer of synthetic rubber and the main importer of natural rubber, and the world rubber market is significantly affected by China's rubber supply and demand. China has about 150 large rubber plantations and about 300,000 rubber farmers. The main producing areas are Hainan, Guangdong and Yunnan. China's annual rubber production is 864,806 million metric tons, accounting for 8.5% of global production.
6. Vietnam
VietNam is one of the largest rubber producers and a major exporter of latex. Vietnam has more than 910,500 hectares of rubber tree plantations, most of which are exported. The Central Highlands and southeastern regions of Vietnam are home to plantations, and Gia Lai is a major rubber producer. China is Vietnam's main rubber export destination, accounting for 40% of latex exports. Vietnam's annual rubber production is 789,635 metric tons, accounting for 7% of global production.
7. Philippines
The Philippines, a major rubber producer, is known for producing a wide range of high-quality rubber products to meet customer demand, with an annual output of 54.7861 metric tons. The Philippines has about 4 million acres of rubber plantations, and investors have poured about $30 million into the Philippine rubber industry. Some of the major rubber producing areas are Zamboanga, Mindanao, Sumatra and Malaya.
8. Cote d 'Ivoire
Cote d'Ivoire is famous not only for its cocoa production, but also as a major producer of rubber. Ivorian farmers are abandoning other crops and turning to rubber because rubber is more lucrative than other agricultural crops. In recent years, its rubber production has increased significantly. There are about 150,000 rubber farmers in Cote d 'Ivoire and about 520,000 hectares of rubber plantations, with large plantations covering 50,080 hectares. Most of these plantations are located in the south of Cote d 'Ivoire, but rubber is also grown in the central and eastern and central western regions. The annual production of rubber in Cote d 'Ivoire is 410,044 metric tons, and production is expected to increase significantly by 2020.
9. Guatemala
Around 1940, Guatemala began importing Brazilian rubber trees for rubber cultivation through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Guatemala has more than 100,000 hectares of rubber tree plantations, most of which are located on the southern coast. Some of the main producing areas are Retalhuleu, Suchitepequez, Northern Transversal Strip, Alta Verapaz and Izabal. The annual production of rubber in Guatemala is about 356,392 metric tons.
10. Brazil
Brazil was one of the pioneers of rubber production in the mid-19th century, and it is believed that rubber trees originated in South America, especially Brazil. In the 19th century, Brazil was the world's leading rubber producer and dominated the world rubber market. However, a fungus called Microcyclus ulei infected the rubber trees and destroyed most of the plantations, and heavy rains in the Amazon drowned most of the rubber trees. This led to a significant decline in latex production, and other countries began to outstrip Brazil in rubber production. Since then, Brazil has begun to plant rubber trees and in a few decades will become the largest rubber producer and gradually return to growth. Plantations are mainly found in the states of Sao Paulo, Mato Grosso, Natex, Xapuri, Seringal Veneza, Rio de Janeiro and Feijo. The annual production of rubber in Brazil is 185,725 metric tons, which is expected to increase with the renovation of rubber plantations.
